Guardian angel’: Nico, on the right, acted as plug inside the womb, preventing a miscarriage and saving her sister Kiki’s life

Twins

At 20 weeks pregnant with twins,  Andrea Goodrich was given the heartbreaking news that losing both babies seemed inevitable.

Yesterday, however, she was cradling two healthy daughters after one saved the other’s life before they were born.

Scans had revealed that one of the girls, Kiki, had a heart problem and fluid was leaking from the placenta.

But miraculously her sister Nico positioned herself so low in the womb that she acted as a plug, preventing a miscarriage or an infection.

‘We truly believe she acted as her sister’s guardian angel,’ said Mrs Goodrich, 39, from Camberley, Surrey. Continue Reading Here

Miracle mum brings premature baby son back to life with two hours of loving cuddles after doctors pronounce him dead

It was a final chance to say goodbye for grieving mother Kate Ogg after doctors gave up hope of saving her premature baby.

She tearfully told her lifeless son – born at 27 weeks weighing 2lb – how much she loved him and cuddled him tightly, not wanting to let him go.

Although little Jamie’s twin sister Emily had been delivered successfully, doctors had given Mrs Ogg the news all mothers dread – that after 20 minutes of battling to get her son to breathe, they had declared him dead.

Having given up on a miracle, Mrs Ogg unwrapped the baby from his blanket and held him against her skin. And then an extraordinary thing happened.

After two hours of being hugged, touched and spoken to by his mother, the little boy began showing signs of life. Click Here to continue reading

 The song of the child

tumblr_mldan1WCSh1rzulcio1_1280Here is a tribe in Africa where the birth date of a child is counted not from when they were born, nor from when they are conceived but from the day that the child was a thought in its mother’s mind. And when a woman decides that she will have a child, she goes off and sits under a tree, by herself, and she listens until she can hear the song of the child that wants to come. And after she’s heard the song of this child, she comes back to the man who will be the child’s father, and teaches it to him. And then, when they make love to physically conceive the child, some of that time they sing the song of the child, as a way to invite it. Click here to read more
